Matthew is now sixteen months old! He was born on 28th January 2009, 7 weeks early, weighing 1.72kg (3lbs 11oz).

He spent the next three weeks in Airedale Hospital’s Neonatal Unit, but that seems a very long time ago. When he was last weighed he had reached 9.5kg (20lbs), but that was back at the beginning of April.

He enjoys taking in his surroundings wherever he goes. He can crawl, climb a little and walk with the aid of a trolley or suitable furniture.

The healthcare professionals were right, he is a feisty and determined individual!
